Spanning all product lines and go-to-market channels, the VP, Product Design will be our global design executive to head the Talkdesk product design function and be ultimately responsible for our product design strategy and the end customer’s product experience. We are looking for an experienced design executive who is ready to lead organizational transformation to scale-up a customer-centric design culture across our product portfolio. This is a product and engineering executive leadership role reporting into the SVP of Product.



  • Transform and create a world-class global design function from a 50+ person distributed and decentralized design organization
  • Champion, mentor and lead the product design organization, creating customer-centered mindset and a culture of inspiration, insight, and authority on design and user experience
  • Responsible for all phases of product design work: distilling research, ideation, reviews, prototyping, final spec design, and implementation
  • Partner with Product, ngineering, and Marketing and other cross-functional stakeholders across the company to design solutions that will win in the market
  • Champion fast iteration, deep user research, and broad experimentation
  • Oversee a Design strategy that puts the customer at the heart of the decision-making process, always leading with data and insights
  • Manage scope, direction and delivery of user flows, information architecture, UX copy, interaction design, prototyping, and visual design



  • 15+ years’ of design leadership experience of a globally distributed design organization
  • You have mastery in the design craft of the industry design language, practices, standards and design protocols
  • You are a coach and a player when necessary where you will roll up your sleeves to teach your mastery of design and leadership to others
  • You have built, led, and scaled a design organization of similar scale and complexity
  • Experience leading design for SaaS business applications or enterprise software
  • You demonstrate a customer-centered approach to design that’s inquisitive, strategic, and empathetic - you know the customer’s pain points before they do
  • You love nothing more than to inspire your team to create designs and experiences that delight customers
  • You lead with clarity and vision, and you can motivate others to deliver excellent results while keeping them happy and engaged
  • You are a reliable self-starter who can provide direction to teams and designers at a 40,000 foot level and at a pixel-level, whichever is most needed in the moment
