Job Description
At Nexla, we’re building a world-class Solutions Architect (SA) team, where each individual loves to move fast, be challenged, work in a team, and win.
As an SA, you will partner with the Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to help bridge business and technology. You will become a trusted advisor to help customers understand how Nexla can help solve their data ops challenges. Your goal is to secure the technical win. By leveraging your excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, you will uncover customer challenges and needs. You will help build and deliver demos that delight your prospects. In addition, your technical skills will help you design and execute Proof Of Values (POVs) to really help seal the deal.
This is a small and very important team. You’ll be expected to be resourceful, a selfless team player, and regularly go above and beyond your “day job”. The upside is that this is a highly visible role with unbound growth opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Be an active partner in the sales process. Understand customer challenges, pains, and opportunities, and showcase Nexla’s value accordingly.

Own the technical product overview and objection handling aspects

Build and deliver compelling demos

Define, build, and execute Proof of Values (POVs)
-
Be hands-on with python, javascript, SQL, and other languages to build custom connectors and transformations
-
Troubleshoot issues and/or escalate to necessary teams during demo prep, POVs, and new customer onboarding

Lead coordination of additional Nexla technical resources to help secure the deal

Work closely with Product & Engineering by communicating feedback from prospects and help drive further innovation

Participate in necessary onboarding activities: work closely with Customer Engineers and other stakeholders for onboarding, education, workshops, escalation management, and other activities to ensure successful customer launch
What You Bring to the Nexla Team
-
BS in Computer Science, related technical fields, and practical experience
-
3 to 5 years experience working as a Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect implementing products at the enterprise level

Experience delivering presentations and technical demonstrations to a technical and business audience

Strong listening skills. Ability to listen, ask questions, and uncover customer challenges and needs.

Exposure to various data and API integration architectures, data warehouses, and data lakes
-
Hands-on programming experience in one or more of Python, Javascript, or SQL
-
Ability to understand, comprehend and solve complex problems

Strong interpersonal, presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to adapt and modify your talk track to the context of each individual use case and business process.

Ability to work and adapt quickly in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and high-growth startup environment.
