You will be working in Site Reliability Engineering and hence your contribution will be crucial in keeping our products up and running. You will be tasked with the goal of building a highly available and resilient product landscape by supporting our product engineering teams in operating their services in the best shape possible. On top of that, you are building the necessary tooling to monitor, support and automate our whole service infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Increase visibility across our systems and create overall standards for monitoring and alerting
  • Drive the creation of KPIs, SLOs, SLIs and help in the definition of SLAs
  • Work closely with product teams and help them integrate best practices and standards we create
  • Improve our Incident Management process and tooling 
  • Help drive operational excellence engineering-wide in cooperation with our Incident Management team
  • Implement software and tooling to improve resilience and automate operations
  • Be on call as second level support for teams

Who you are, you...

  • enjoy programming and have proven experience with building software and/or web applications
  • have experience working with AWS, Terraform and Docker
  • understand security practices from the perspective of both applications and infrastructure
  • understand agile workflows and you know how to apply them
  • know where to search for bottlenecks in service architecture
  • have a sound understanding of best practices that make services resilient and scalable
  • are a proactive peer and help the people around you to grow and learn from your experience
  • are a curious, constant learner and share your knowledge
  • communicate well in written and verbal English
